ATI Physical Therapy Expands in State of Oregon

Erhardt Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine joins ATI

Bolingbrook, IL – June 27, 2016 – ATI Physical Therapy, the nation’s largest physical therapy practice under one brand, today announces expansion in the Portland, Oregon region with the addition of Erhardt Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine, a two-clinic practice with locations in Scappoose and Beaverton. The addition of the Erhardt clinics marks the third acquisition in the Oregon market, joining Willamette Spine Care & Physical Therapy and McMinnville Physical Therapy

For more than 17 years, Erhardt Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine has been providing individualized, comprehensive and patient-focused care, featuring the only board certified orthopedic specialist and certified manual therapist in Columbia County. The team members at Erhardt are committed to working with the patients and physicians to develop an individualized treatment plan to maximize patient’s success in achieving their goals.

“ATI is all class. I have truly never experienced a more impressive collection of people in one company,” said Jonathan Erhardt, Owner of Erhardt Physical Therapy. “They embraced our efforts to provide a unique blend of extraordinary patient experience and clinical excellence. That commitment, combined with their zeal for education, community outreach and creating a family-like atmosphere, is to be commended and is something we are proud to be a part of.”

With exceptional, patient-centered care, trusted expertise and remarkable outcomes, the goal of ATI Physical Therapy is to exceed customer expectations—every day, in every clinic. ATI is a nationally-recognized rehabilitation provider, specializing in research-based physical therapy, workers’ compensation rehab, employer worksite solutions, sports medicine, home health, and a variety of specialty therapies.

“Erhardt has a solid history of providing extraordinary care and outstanding results, and we are excited to add this team to the ATI family,” said Lou Hillegass, Senior Vice President of Operations with ATI. “Together, we will continue their tradition and look for additional opportunities for growth and enhancements so we can have a greater impact on our patients and our communities.”

Complimentary injury screens are available at all ATI locations, and first appointments are scheduled within 24-48 hours, with early morning and evening hours available to accommodate patient schedules.

ATI accepts virtually all major insurance carriers, verifies patient benefits prior to the start of treatment and offers individualized payment plans. Unique to the industry, ATI’s dedicated in-house research department aims to improve patient outcomes through basic science, research and evidence-based medicine. This includes the ATI Patient Outcomes Registry, a collection of data that supports an innovative approach to physical therapy that improves awareness of patient outcomes and how the rehabilitative process can impact patients’ quality of life.

  • Do I need a doctor referral to come to physical therapy?

No. Physical Therapists in Oregon do not need a doctor referral to initiate treatment for patients. If you do come to PT without a doctor referral, a PT can treat you for 60 days, per issue, before a doctor's referral is needed. However, some insurance companies require referrals and insurance pre-authorization before treatment. We will research this for you and get pre-authorizations if needed.
  • Are you participating in my insurance plan?

We are on most insurance panels including Medicare, Providence, ODS, BCBS and Tricare. For some insurances, it does not matter which provider you go to. It is our policy to check your benefits, and to the best of our ability, advise you of your co-pays and any insurance limits there may be before you start your therapy.
  • What hours are you open?

We schedule patients from 8am to 5pm. Monday through Friday. On Tues and Thurs we see patients starting at 6am. Saturday appointments are also available if necessary.
  • What do all of those initials in my Physical Therapist's title mean?

It is interesting to note, Physical Therapy is becoming more and more recognized as a highly specialized and the most effective treatment for many issues. Originally, Physical Therapists educational requirement was a four year degree. Then it advanced to a minimum of a Masters and now most physical therapy programs are Doctorate programs.
